Arbeta fuses Manchester favourites to launch in style

Last month we welcomed over 200 guests to celebrate the launch of Arbeta, Manchester’s new workspace for the creative and digital sectors.

With our deep connections to Manchester’s creative and tech scene through our sister building, The Sharp Project, we wanted to give our guests an evening that celebrated the region’s arts, music and culture.

This included an exhibition from Bands FC, a local graphic design project that reimagines “bands as football teams and football teams as bands” and has raised thousands for charity, interactive demonstrations from Doodledo Motion, Aucoda and EY3 Media – all Sharp Project tenants with groundbreaking innovations – and retro computer games from Retro Events.

Guests were also treated to a Manchester-inspired menu of locally sourced, seasonal food from Wilson Vale, who are set to open at our on-site café later this year, and drinks from Escapade, including our very own Arbeta cocktail.

Local DJ Tom Clarke provided the soundtrack to the evening and the event crescendoed with a lively performance by The Illicits, an up-and-coming guitar band from Blackburn, who recently supported Liam Gallagher on tour.

The night was a resounding success, with many guests enjoying guided tours of the building, which features a central atrium space designed to encourage collaboration, meeting rooms and event space, an on-site car park, sheltered cycle storage and shower and changing facilities.

A huge thanks to everyone who attended or was involved in the event – we hope to see you back at Arbeta soon!
